Is there any good verb?
I have one question.
'They just pressured her with their opinions; they(=their opinions) Verb(Past) her inferior complex.'
What Verb should I use? 'Stimulated' is one of my candidates, but I guess there are other better expressions.

Re: Is there any good verb?
tdol, thanks. 'Accentuate' didn't came to my mind,
but is there any other shorter and colloquial verb?
For example, can 'tickle' be used for this context?

Re: Is there any good verb?
No, tickle is positive- tickle someone's fancy. How about 'add to', or, very colloquially, 'max up'?

Re: Is there any good verb?
By the way, I'd like to ask you about 'inferior complex'.
Can I shorten this to 'complex'?
Also what comes to your mind when hearing 'inferior complex'?
Is it about one's appearance or about one's ability?
Thank you.

I would probably say "inferiority complex" to begin with. It's not feeling good enough about yourself, thinking less of yourself, feeling inadequate, putting yourself down. The word "complex" alone suggests just one single fear or a hang up about something (not necessarily relating to inferiority).

Re: Is there any good verb?
Good point, Marylin; I had missed that.

Re: Is there any good verb?
Thank you Marylin and tdol.
Can I say 'My inferiority complex is that I can't swim well'?
Or can I say 'I have an inferiority complex that I can't swim well'?
Thank you.

Re: Is there any good verb?
I'd say:
I have an inferiority complex because I can't swim well.
