'Are they terrosits? For one side they are terrorists.
For the other side, they are NounS.'

Is there any appropriate word for the NounS.

Is 'freedom fighters' OK?

Also, is 'resistance activitists' OK?

Is there any other good expression?

patriots, heroes, soldiers, warriorrs, defenders of the faith, freedom fighters is O.K. but resistance activists sounds too clinical when compared to the other choices.

What about 'resistance fighters' and 'independence fighters'?
