The Bush Administration well planned for the invasion of Iraq well ahead of the September 11, 2001 attacks. At first, I did not believe a country that my families family had have migrated to for freedom, for a better life, can could do such horrible things. Our family had suffered during the war in Vietnam before, many of our relatives died in that war and our life had lives have changed so much since. Yet, again and again, America finds new targets in the Middle East to display their superior power in military power dominant in to the world (You used the word "Yet", when introducing the sentence about finding new targets. What is the relationship between your relatives dying and America finding new targets?). Our military, is, perhaps ranked number one in the world, but our people are suffering because our resources are being wasted on building warheads, building tanks and fighter jets. Our military industrial complex had grown so large that the government has no control over it. It seems like the President of the United States is a puppet to be controlled by CEOs of weapons producing company companies.
(For your consideration - When military tanks are built, who profits from the building? Could it be that the company who built the tanks profit and that this profit goes into the economy.)
After the Vietnam War, our family suffered tremendously due because of the lack of necessities like food, water or electric light bulbs (Food and water are necessities - electric light bulbs are not necessities.). The war took away our roads, schools and the lives of many millions . My father fled on a boat to find a better future for our family because of the substandard living conditions of substandard living will exterminates our life were dangerous . My mother and I stayed back to support our grandmother who is ageing promptly was aging due to the lack of nutrition. War also took away the school near our house, that bomb dropped from that fighter jet surely missed the target, no Viet Cong were there. Many of our relatives died because of the war , uncles and Aunty, even cousins from my extended family tree that I’ve never met and will never meet. Then, seven years later, my father became an American citizen through naturalization, he then sponsored my mother and I to the US. Everything was so much different, I love everything the US has to offer, especially the words freedom and liberty.
On September 11, I was sat down with everyone in my class and the teachers showed us channel 7 displaying the terror in New York. Commercial planes hitting the World Trade Center, I was shocked, how could someone do this to a free country? What have we done to deserve such an attack? attacked? The next day, President Bush condemned those who had done it. At that time, I was naïve enough to believe whatever our government tells told us, I wanted to join the military to help the US fight whoever it is was. And I’ve watched the news constantly, and also noticed the millions of people of in Iraq in the streets with candle lights in support for of the US. However, Bush and Cheney did not listen to anyone, and went ahead and invaded Iraq when while the world protested against the war. After much research online and news reading from honorable reliable sources, I’ve found out that our military system is extremely corrupted by the people who are running it. Cheney is was the president of Halliburton, a company that ranked second largest in among oilfield services corporations in the world, and why do we fight in Iraq when it has nothing to do with the attacked attack? The reason is simple, our oil reserves are only 2% of the world, and Iraq has a 25% of the oil reserves.
Our military is known to be best in the world, but we don’t even have a health care system that cares for all citizens (In the US Constitution it is noted that the function of government is to provide for the common defense. There is no mention of providing a health care system. I think about the war in Iraq all the time because all of our school funds went to the war and left this generation deprived from of an education (Is this true? Did all of the schools throughout the nation close down? Did all of the funds for schools go to the war effort? Did the worldwide economic downturn have any effect on school funding?). I think of the War in Afghanistan all the time since all (All means everyone. This would include the CEO of a company making pottery.) The CEOs that are selling arms and weapons to our military are making so much money persuading our government to fight. I think all the time about the wars that America have involved itself in all the time because all wars are funded by our tax dollars. It is sad that our politicians can say one thing and do another (That seems to define politicians worldwide.). Just last night, a movie catches caught my attention, it is called, “Fuel”, a documentary movie made in 2008 and directed by Josh Tickell. The movie was also about why we fight in Iraq, it is because of the oil. But it also showed that we do not need to be dependency dependent on petroleum, our biodiesel technology had has advanced enough to cut the tie with oil. Likewise, same scenarios (Which scenario?) happened to biodiesel when big oil corporations noticed their popularity rises rising, quickly big oil corporations shut it down. (Do you mean companies such as BP, an English owned company, or Shell, owned by the Dutch?)
In the end, why do we fight? We fight because we want your stuff and you will give it to us or we will come and take it (Interesting view of the world - what did the Vietnamese have that America wanted?). The Vietnam War had has shattered the Vietnamese people; we had to relocate 6,000 miles away to an unknown land, the language barriers and the society of the new land didn’t except accept us, all this we have to bear. (Incorrect use of "had to". You elected to move - you did not have to.). The invasion of Iraq is was wrong and we still continuing continue wasteful spending and the killing of innocent lives. Also, the war in Afghanistan is going nowhere, who are we looking for? Osama Bin Ladin? For all we know, he might not even exist, just like the Weapons of Mass Destruction. I’ve fate faith in America, and I hope America can return to its way, the correct way.(And...how would you define the "correct way"?
