I'd put a coma after 'conditions', and probably change the phrase to 'in the current situation'. I'd use 'to manage'. Might would work beter IMO than may.

countries' ?? governments' investments

  • Terrorists and drug traffickers use the latest speedy communications and information technology.
speedy- too coloquial- rapid/instantaneous?
  • Globalization makes it difficult to recognize emergent crises, which leads to the situation when a developing crisis is hard to notice and it is initially unclear what this crisis will lead to.
a situation

Thank you, tdol! I'd like to ask you a question:

Do you think it's necessary to learn/study such words as unilateralism, multilateral, unity etc? They seem to be pretty rare in my mother tongue. They're used largely in mass media and regarded as formal language. Is it so in English as well?

In English, Iwouldn't say they were formal, and they would be used in a conversation about the subject as readily as in the media.
