To start with, theoretical knowledge set up the fundamental knowledge system which enhances students’ cognitive abilities. Understanding of theoretical knowledge would make the students more familiar with the regulation of its corresponding industry or business and help to select their ultimate career path. Moreover, theoretical knowledge is an indispensable part of practice as it profoundly guides us the way we live and work. Specifically, industry productions those improved our life quality, such as electricity, lamp and computer, were all because inventors mastered the theoretical knowledge well. Lastly, solid understanding of theoretical knowledge was required in some profession area such as medicine and accountancy. In other words, theoretical knowledge is an enhancer of one’s career skill.

Admittedly, university education prepare students for employment by practical training would help them become skillful; therefore, easy to find a job after graduate. The reason for this is that employers prefer to employ workers with working experience. Obviously, the one who were well trained and able to handle the job within short time would be a highly competitive candidate. Even so, comprehensive quality has always been considered highly; moreover, to be seen as their potential ability. For instance, most companies usually provide work training for new employees would value their employees’ overall qualities highly.

In summary, I would concede that prepare students for employment would help them find a job after graduate. Despite that, university education help students acquired theoretical knowledge provide powerful tool for them to deal with the world around them. Overall, I am convinced that universities should focus more on theoretical knowledge.
