Hi Im writing a reply to someone about "checking students comprehensio" .Please read and paraphrase it if necessary.

"I think if a teacher states his objectives clearly before his class , he will find that he could check students understanding very easily.In preparation for the class , teacher must know what objectives students will achieve and how ciuld he make sure that they were really achieved.Each skill has different objectives and thus different evaluation techniques.
