I am currently into writing short stories and so far failed to complete one with a decent twist. I am halfway through one now as I came across this forum.
It begins with a devious boy in class, who has just decided renounce school. I know it isn't much to start with but any ideas for an ironic twist? It would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Thomas Hardy wrote 'Life's Little Ironies', which is a superb collection of stories with twists and iromies that are so biting they hurt to read. Try the master for some inspiration:

Cheers, thanks mate. Its much appreciated.
The twist would presumably revolve around the decision backfiring on him, so that his deviousness fails and in some way he loses out.
