Default May you edit my report

Hi friends,
I am writing a preview about a book and I need you to edit, and paraphrase it if necessary please.I appreciate your help. Here it is :

"Description and preview

Level B is designed for Ells whose vocabulary and reading level is at grade 6. This set integrates standards-based literature, language, and content. Set B includes 1 student textbook, 1 student practice book, 1 teacher's edition, 1 assessment handbook, 1 teacher's resource book, and 1 selection cassette of student textbook readings.

The student book consists of 5 units. Each unit is built around two themes. The first lesson in each theme is designed mainly to help students develop their oral skills by discussing, negotiating about certain topic. Students are provided with key words and the teacher role is to trigger their minds for ideas and help them construct different personal perspectives.

In lesson 2, students are exposed to different learning materials which aim to build their language and vocabulary. For example, they might be asked to tell a story or describe an event. They also develop different learning strategies which help them understand and get specific knowledge or information such as making charts or story maps. In this lesson, some new patterns and instructions might be presented; adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases, etc. (St. Book page 144-145).

In lessons 3-16, some selections of readings are presented which enhance the main themes. These readings might be poetry , fictions(science fiction, historical fiction or realistic fiction),essay ,biography ,autobiography or diary.(Pages 14, ,24,50,104,254).in each selected reading ,students are guided to learn new learning strategies .For example ,in unit 1 theme 1 a reading about family history is presented and the learning strategy that students are going to learn is “how to preview and make predictions”. These strategies are gradually developed to more complex ones in the next lessons. For instance, the second reading in the same unit emphasizes “how to read a poem with stanzas”; the third one “how to distinguish between facts and opinions, etc. Each reading in each different unit is selected, presented and explained in a way helps to make students learn different learning strategies.

In each theme there is at least two readings .students through out the coming lessons learn “How to pre-read” by activating pre-knowledge, discussing and using new words in context. They also learn “How to read” by using context clues to grasp meaning, making literary analysis and developing self-comprehension. Finally, students learn “How to respond” to what they read by checking their understanding and developing critical thinking.

The practice book is designed to test students’ comprehension and knowledge of main ideas and details in each reading. For example, exercise 1 of unit 1 tests students’ language, exercise 2 tests key vocabulary, exercise 3 tests grammar (common and proper nouns) and exercise 4 tests singular and plural nouns. Different types of headings or written work are used in these questions. Sentence completion, making webs, circling correct answers, filling in spaces, making charts, writing a paragraph etc. are all used to test students comprehension in the practice book. (practice book, unit 1 pages 2-11).

Finally, the teacher manuals contains instructions for teachers to help them best present each topic. It includes different strategies for different students levels(beginning ,intermediate and advanced). It goes with the teacher step by step in how to introduce unit concept, preview unit themes ,tap prior knowledge ,discuss and conduct activities. It also provides some key answers for questions and activities mentioned in the student book. (Teacher edition, p.149).

In sum, high point – level B is a good choice for SL teachers because it introduces the language through literature in a way that helps learners integrate their skills. It also helps learners make knowledge and information more sensible by connecting them to real life experiences and by deep understanding of some concepts such as “Change “ in unit 1 ,“Gap” in unit 2 , , and “Obstacles” In unit 5 .

selection cassette- is it a selection or just a cassette?
discussing, negotiating - conjunction?
teacher role- possessive
in each- capitalise
the learning strategy that students are going to learn is “how to preview and make predictions”. These strategies - you use the singualr and plural- you should be consistent- is it one strategy or two?
“how to distinguish between facts and opinions, etc. Each reading in each different unit is selected, presented and explained in a way helps to make students learn different learning strategies.- where does the quote end?
there is at least two- are
students through out - S... throughout
It includes- you use manuals in the sentence before, so shouldn't this be plural
In sum- In summary/To sum up
high point- doesn't fit into the sentence grammatically
make knowledge and information more sensible- make sense of??
