Qualitative analysis evaluates a fault tree in terms of its minimal cutsets, common mode failure and importance components leading to an unwanted situation. Whereas quantitative analysis of a fault tree help to estimates the probability of a eventual event from the given failure probabilities of a systems components and basic causes.
