Hi there. I got the following sentence and hope someone can give me some advice.

Please note that the overseas passport number of John Smith is not the same as the one last reported to this office. Please clarify and amend as appropriate.

Can it be further polished up?

Cheers.

It's fine, though 'John Smith's overseas passport number' sounds more natural to me.

Hi there. Thanks for your advice. I got another question for you if you don't mind.

While the verb agreement of the following sentence should be singular:
There is more than one cassowary dashing into the farm.

What if "More than one cassorwarry is/are dashing into the farm" ?

Cheers.

In the scond, I'd say cassorwarry is, just as I'd say more than one person is.
