Hi, everybody!
I wrote a paragraph and i'm not sure about the tenses and stuff. Can you help me? What usually happens to me is that after writing something I cannot find mistakes!![]()
So, here it goes:
...In the meantime, I sat still trying to find out what would I say when he came back and in the wink of an eye, I made up my mind. Son, I decided I want him back. Your father and I have been married for twenty-five years and when I think back to what happened during that time, I realize we went through bad moments, yet the happy ones also come to my mind.
And one more thing: Is it ok to say "Give sb a weekly allowance"? I tried to look up for the verb that goes with allowance, but i couldnt find it!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you!![]()
I'd change 'find out' to 'think'.
Yes, you can give someone an allowance.
I thought 'find out' was not very good, but I wrote 'think back' a few lines after.
Thank you for your help! :)
You're welcome. You could also say 'look back over what happened...'![]()
Ohhhh, you are right! I haven't considered that expression.
Thank you! (:
