Default required for ?

I recently read a Q & A and found the following sentence a bit weird.

Q: Where should I submit the documents required for filing under the regulation?

Should it be "Where should I submit the documents required of filing under the regulation?" ?

Please advise.

Cheers.

Hello Wacky

I agree that the sentence is a little oddly worded; but "required for" filing would be correct.

This is how I understand the sentence:

"Where should I submit the documents that, according to the regulation, need to be filed?"

All the best,

MrP
