HIT(Hongkong International Terminal) faced a serious problem of losing market share to newer ports in the 1990s due to its constraints of physical space. In 1995, HIT has created 3P(Productivity plus program) which provide optimized decision support for basic terminal operations. 3P helps HIT to add its shipping container handling capacity, reduce vessel turnaround, cut the average cost of handling and benefit the environment.

In 1995, HIT introduced '3P'(Productivity plus program) which provided optimized decision support for basic terminal operations. 3P helped HIT to increase its shipping container handling capacity, reduce vessel turnaround, cut the average cost of handling and also benefited the environment.
