Harry Potter: which one do you prefer, the books or the films?
After the previous four successful literary adaptations, the fifth film of the saga: “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” has arrived to cinemas.

Despite the impossibility of telling the whole story since the book has 893 pages, the storyline is perfectly understandable. However, the spectator can feel anxiety in some moments because Christmas arrives and, suddenly, in the following scene they are already back to lessons while the final scene last much more time than the expected.

Like in the previous films, Harry Potter’s universe is changed into one for children: Wesley’s jokes are shown as a play for children and, although the cast is quite good, the costume design is awful and shows that the designer has not read the books (students are not allowed to wear “muggles” clothes at Hogwards).

By and large, this blockbuster has been done for children and the book is not. The story has become dark and it gets darker in each book. J. K. Rowling has grown with her readers but nobody could say the same about the film. To sum up, from my point of view if you prefer the books or the films, depends on your age.
