New Zealand, New Thinking I need to write an essay on "New Zealand New Thinking", could anyone tell me what to include in the passage? and also please check my uncompleted work for grammatical errors~ millions thanks~ The lovely New Zealand Learning is most effective, to quote Steven Krashen's input theory, when learners are exposed not just to what they already know but also to additional information relevant. In my case, as an English learner, it would mean going abroad to an English-speaking country, so as to understand the social norms that have shaped both the verbal and non-verbal communication of the language. That is why I would very much treasure the chance of going to New Zealand, a country I like. I like New Zealand, the history and culture of which are enthralling and unique. Once been a colony, New Zealand shows a perfect blend of different cultures. While the historic sites of the autochthonous Maori or Pakeha culture contrast deeply with the European colonial buildings, the huge stylish skyscrapers towering over cities, probably built only in the middle twentieth century, well reflect the modern side of New Zealand. Besides, its almost isolated location in the South Pacific Ocean, and its inhabitants’ love of the outdoors all contribute to New Zealand distinctive cultural features. I like New Zealand, the natural environment of which is well conserved and beautiful. I like New Zealand, above all, the spectacular landscape of which is stupendous and even fabulous. |
