Default [Writing About a Film] Billy Elliot

So, I have to write about a film I've seen.
My teacher wants me to write what appen in the film.
I've wrote something, but I don't know if it's correct.
Can you pleas check it out?

Quote:
Billy Elliot is a film about a boy who follows his passion.
Billy is an 11-years old Scottish boy, his father and his older brother are miners during a strike.
Billy's father (Gary Lewis) is a box fanatic and he want his son to be a famouse boxer.
So Billy attends a boxer class that his father pays hopefully.
But Billy hs a dream: he has soon discovered his passion for the ballet, when a ballet class share the gym with Billy's class.
Then he starts practising ballet secretly, using the money that is father is collecting for box lessons.
His family discover Billy's passion when his teacher goes to their poor house and tell them that Billy had missed an audition for The Royal Ballet School of London because his brother has been arrested.
Billy's father and brother at first don't want him to become a professional dancer, but then the two of them change their mind once they see Billy dancing.
So the boy goes to the Royal Ballet School.
The last scene of the film take place years later, Billy (Adam Cooper) is now a famous dancer, he's performing the lead in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.

(So-omit), I have to write about a film I've seen.
My teacher wants me to write about what happens in the film.
I've written something, but I don't know if it's correct.
Can you please check it (out-omit)? ('check something out' has a different meaning to 'check it')

Quote:

Billy is an 11-year old Scottish boy, whose father and (his-omit) older brother are miners during a strike.
Billy's father (Gary Lewis) is a boxing fanatic who wants his son to be a famous boxer.

So Billy attends boxing classes that his father pays for , in hope.

Trying to use the idea of 'hopefully' leads to an odd-sounding construction. I think it would be better to change the sentence to:

To further his hopes, he pays for Billy to go to a boxing class.

But Billy hs a dream: he has soon discovered his passion for the ballet, when a ballet class share the gym with Billy's class.

(The tenses are mixed. It would be better:
But Billy soon has a dream of his own: he discovers his passion for the
ballet when a dance class share the gym with Billy's class.

Perhaps someone else would like to check the rest.
Note: a person born in Scotland is not 'Scottish' but a 'Scot', and so a Scots lad, as opposed to Scottish shortbread biscuits, the Scottish Parliament, and Scotch whiskey. Some Scots are more vehement about being called a Scot and not Scottish than others.)

Then he starts practising ballet secretly, using the money that is father is collecting for box lessons.

His family discovers Billy's passion when his teacher goes to their house and tells them that Billy had missed an audition for the Royal Ballet School in London because his brother has been arrested.

Billy's father and brother at first don't want him to become a professional dancer, but then the two of them change their mind once they see Billy dancing.

So the boy goes to the Royal Ballet School.

The last scene of the film take place years later, Billy (Adam Cooper) is now a famous dancer who is performing the lead in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.
