Default Passive From of Verbs

The blue colour are my answers, am I right?
The agent is often omitted in passive sentences. In the following sentences containing passive verbs without agents, use the verb form required by the time expression. In some sentences more than one answer is possible.

Examples:
a. The house (paint) every year.
The house is painted every year.

b. The proposal (consider) right now.
The proposal is being considered right now.

c. All the students’ grades (distribute) next week.
All the students’ grades will be distributed (or are being distributed, are going to distributed) next week.

d. The matter (already, investigate).
The matter has already been investigated.





1. Much attention (devote) to this question at this time.
Much attention is devoting to this question at this time.

2. The furniture (move) tomorrow.
The furniture will be move tomorrow.

3 A new air conditioner (install) at this very moment.
A new air conditioner installs at this very moment.

4.The merchandise (just, ship) when the order was canceled.
The merchandise had just shipped when the order was canceled.

5.Their house (paint) when a fire broke out.
Their house had painted when a fire broke out.

6.America (discover) in 1492.
America was discovered in 1492.

7.Several of the culprits (already, punish).
Several of the culprits had already been punish.

Correct

7.Several of the culprits (already, punish).
Several of the culprits had already been punish.
Several of the culprits have/had already been punished


Can you understand why I have changed the tenses in the sentences?

Nope, MJ. Try again. Here it is in the active.

People are devoting much attention ...

Remember the passive uses "the appropriate form of the be verb + the past participle".


Much attention is devoting to this question at this time.


2. The furniture (move) tomorrow.

"... + the past participle"

Someone is installing a new ...

A new air conditioner installs at this very moment.

"the appropriate form of the be verb + ..."

Someone was painting their house when ...

Their house had painted when a fire broke out.
