The topic of this thesis is a brief analysis of implementation of Basel II into the Czech banking system. The first part of the work deals with specific characteristics of finance business and discusses finance regulation. The next part defines basic Basel terminology and also clarifies principles of new capital standard. The last part is dedicated to implementation process in the Czech Republic and also depictures commercial banks arrangement to Basel II.
