Dear Teacher,
Could you correct this text, please. Thank you.
"A glance into the past
In Hajdúsámson the story of the education dates back to centuries, as from the 1300 years monks, then from the XVI. centuries reformed rectors taught in our village.
The students’ number was only 30 boys in 1747. This number grew thanks to the starting girl’s education from 1773, the continuously growing population and the József Eötvös’s draft of a new law of public school. This growing number was so great that the existing two classrooms’ capacity was not enough. Therefore the continuous classroom expansion began from 1878 and three new buildings were established: one in the Szatmári street in 1909, another Greek Catholic one in the Árpád street, and a one-tiered school with 8 classrooms in 1938.
The obligatory elementary school education started on 18th August 1945.
The teaching began with 986 people in the school called Hajdusamsoni State Elementary School.
From 1963 an opportunity opened for slightly injured, mentally retarded children’s training.
Until 1980 we still struggled with the lack of classrooms, when the new central school was built with 8 classrooms, later it was enlarged with 4 classrooms.
It was necessary to enlarge the classrooms again in 1997. We had not any special classrooms or workshops and not only on one occasion our children learned in a needy classroom.
Long sruggling followed after this problem..."
Thank you very much.

Dear Teacher,
Thank you for your reply.
Is there any mistake in the quote you wrote back? Is it understandable in English or is there any more mistake in the rest of the text?
Why is a question mark at the end of your letter.
Thanks,
rafael
Say:
The total number was only thirty boys in 1747. The number of students grew due to the start of girls' education and the continously growing population of the town. The number of students outgrew the capacity of the existing two classrooms. A new school was built in 1878, another one in 1909, and another one in 1909.![]()
Dear Teacher,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, well.
I mean that from 1300 (date of year) on monks taught (in our village) and from the sixteenth century on reformed rectors taught in our village. How can I say it in one sentece?
Thanks,
rafael
Dear Teacher,
How can I add the names of the streets where the new school was built? And how can I add that one of the school on Arpad street is Greek Catholic one?
Would this be correct:
A new school was built in 1878 at Szatmári Street, another Greek Catholic one in 1909 at Árpád Street, and another one in 1909 which has 8 classrooms on two level. (or is it better like: .......and another one-tiered school which has 8 classrooms.
Does it make sense.
Thanks,
rafael
