Please help. I’m trying to say, that Police at the moment have about 65 thousand minor beer drinkers (under 18) registered and tracked on its data base. The police are aware of them and try to prevent new criminal actions from their side.
Is the sentence expresses my idea and correct?-
“Currently, the police have nearly 65 thousand underage beer drinkers on its files”.
Thank you.
Does the sentence express this idea correctly?
“Currently, the police have nearly 65 thousand underage beer drinkers on their files”.
Or -
“Currently, the police have nearly 65 thousand underage beer drinkers on file.
In the US, to be "on file" means you are in their database.
