"how does Shakespeare through style, vision, and genre hold a mirror to his age"

I was also asked to read two of his plays. I chose macbeth and the Tempest. I need a little direction. maybe just examples of how his different genres represented his time, and same with his vision and style. kinda stuck. don't like this topic. any help would be appreciated thanks.
