The studies noted that the X was a problem both in developed and developing countries, and the condition was poorer in developing countries.
As it stands, it's fine but you'd have to give us the noun, instead of just "the X" because that could change things. For instance, you couldn't put the definite article "the" in front of a lot of things, for example:
The studies noted that the Aids / poverty/crime etc was a problem both in developed and developing countries, and the condition was poorer in developing countries.![]()
