Sir/ ma'am please answer the following
1) what is the past tense of " beat " & how is it pronounced ?
2) is the usage of the word "beaten" correct .." They were beaten comprehensively by the seniors in the football game "........ is beaten the past tense of beat ?
please correct the following sentence if its wrong..
1) the other day i put a bet with my friend that Australia will win the cricket match .
Is there any better way of framing the above sentence using the word "bet".

The past tense of beat is 'beat'. It is pronounced the same. ie/ I beat the eggs yesterday. She beat the eggs last week.
The past participle is 'beaten'. "The seniors have beaten the juniors in the football game."
