Love and Romance story

Hi guys,
I hope someone would enlight me with what I want to know. Once, I was searching in the internet about some authors, when I found what I was looking for, I saw a question about the difference bewteen the Love Story and the Romance story. can any one help me and tell me what the difference, and please don't say that there is not? I need to understand.

In literature, 'romance' means a tale, etc, that is far removed from real life- it doesn't necessarily involve love, though in everyday speech, there would be little difference between the two.
