American Dream
Hello
I'm writing my BA Paper on 'American Dream- the fall of the American icon"
I'm collecting materials now, and I thought that some of you may help me to find new ideas.
I am planning to divide my work into 3 parts: Description of Amer. Dream (in literature, media, film etc. I want to put a small study case here), second on collapse of America's image in history (3 parts here: 30' (great depression), 60' (growth of post-war conflicts) and present day). No idea for last chapter yet.
From literaral point I want to mention Great Gatsby (Fitzgerald), The Grapes of wrath (Stainbeck), Naked Lunch (Burroughs). Still looking for some more.
I'm here to ask you for help- maybe some of you know sth about the topic, could help me to find resources or have new ideas or different look on a subject given
thx for any help :)

We generally don't give out ideas for other people's BA papers - mainly because you are the one who's getting the BA, so you are the one who should earn it.
But if you want to tell us what ideas you have already, maybe someone will be willing to discuss them and tell you if they're misguided or off the track.
What you have planned so far seems to make sense, and the choice of books is good (depending, of course, on how you use them).

Re: American Dream
I'd like to know what America's image was and how it collapsed. (There must be quite a few ideas people have had about this country (USA).)

Hi!
You can try to compare the perception of American dream and the fall of the American icon inside and outside the USA. There must be some literature other than American one in which fascination or disillusion with America is portrayed.
All the best
