"But" means "Except"?
Hi Everybody,
Recently I watched the American TV drama called "Breaking Bad", I got following conversation, I was wondering if "But" means "Except"....
Is it No one but you = No one except you? Please advise.
Actor A: Did your family know you got cancer?
Actor B: No one but you.
