There are a lot of people in Spain (France, Italy ... ) that only speak Spanish which is not very nice, but I guess things are now changing ...

P.S. I like your avatar. Do you like Maths ?

Hello, I'm new. ~waves~

I speak English as my first language, and I am studying Spanish. I think that I am fairly good at Spanish, but my vocabulary is weak and I need a lot of practice. :)

My family is German (I'm first/third Generation American, depending on how you look at it.) Therefor, I know some German from around the house. I studied Russian for five years, but can only remember a handful of words.

I am interested in learning French and Japanese.

This forum was recommended to me by a fellow writer. Though I am a native speaker, I never learned the basic rules of English very well. I still struggle a lot with some things. I hope to be of help and to learn.

Hi, Sasa- that's quite a number of languages. Why French and Japanese?

Yes, I only wish I could remember more Russian.

Both intrigue me, really. I know an amazing number of French speakers, and it frustrates me that I can understand them quite a bit of the time, but can't respond. I also know many Japanese speakers, and my father was actually born in Yokohama, so... :) It helps a little that some of my favorite music is Japanese.

I speak Kurdish (first language), Farsi, and English. Kurdish and Farsi are Indo-Iranian languages. During these days I'm learning French. It's the most difficult language I've ever seen. Though the pronunciation isn't that hard, verbs have killed me. English irregular verbs, in comparison, seem to be quite regular!

I speak English and Japanese. I didn't count the other languages I can't speak well enough to hold a conversation. I studied a couple of Indonesian languages, Chinese, Korean and French, but I've forgotten most of it.

Most of the people I know who are conversational in more than two languages are European.
