According to the "Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary":
"The correct preposition to use after experience is of" but I heve found that it is very common "experience in".
Is it wrong to write "Extensive experience in sales"?
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Experience in - the knowledge and skill you have gained through doing something
*a doctor with experience in dealing with patients suffering from stress
Experience of - an event or activity that affects you in some way
*my first experience of living alone
And we also say 'experienced in'.
Thanks you for your help!
