'...As stout a defence of the English language as you're likely to hear'
BBC Radio 4 broadcast ('aired' - eugh
) a programme called Word of Mouth last night, all of which is worth listening to. But my favourite bit is the interview with the American writer Joe Queenan (15'15"-20'33") - a man after my own heart (and objectors to that use of 'after' should, in Joe Queenan's words, 'just shut up'
). (Students: 'a man after my own heart' means someone that I agree with wholeheartedly. Teachers: this could provoke some interesting class discussions with advanced students.)
BBC - BBC Radio 4 Programmes - Word of Mouth (As with other stuff on the BBC iPlayer site, it's there for a week).

Joe Queenan is a very funny man. Do you know if there is any way to listen to this now?

Doesn't seem to be any way of listening to it now. They occasionally put old episodes up for particular programmes, but this doesn't seem to be one
