english and web searching

Hi anyone!

I'm doing research on the effects of english language proficiency on information searching on the web, as it pertains to non native english speakers. I'm having GREAT trouble finding previous research / articles on this subject. I would be very grateful for any help on the subject - if you know of such papers, useful resources, relevant searchwords - anything!

I am not sure that it would affect their search skills- they may not have the language necessary, but what if they have the skills to search in an effective way in their own language?
