Changes
Change is a very important feature of our modern life. Sometimes there major changes in our personal lives. There are also many strategies as to how Corporations react to changes. for example: downsizing (lean management), change management, strategic alliances, merging and so on..
As far as English grammar is concerned I know of two changes:
First, for changes just completed we use present perfect simple: E-commerce has speeded up the pace of business. They have opend a new fashion shop.
second, for changes in progress we use present continuous provided that the verb is dynamic: mental health problems are increasing. The divorce rate is soaring.
Does anybody know of any other changes which are relevant to English grammar and vocabulary.
Thanks
Jamshid

Hi M56
Since change is an important part of human life it must be reflected in human language (grammar and vocabulary) more than that what we both mentioned.
As far as I know from other posts you could provide some in-depth insight with regard to grammar and vocabulary.

Jamshid
