Good point. Although it might have made more sense with my ROAST entry also on the page, I'd totally failed to notice that I didn't even mention turkey!
Do you have space for "Bah Humbug"?
This is the stereotypical exclamation of someone who is opposed to the fuss of Christmas - after Dickens' Scrooge, of course.
Great suggestion. Will stick it in for sure
Pumpkin pie is a Thanksgiving thing. Ditto cranberry sauce. Don't know if there really is a traditional Xmas dessert, although candy canes are the traditional candy.A few questions about American stuff so that I can even the post out a little bit more that way:
- Are there any differences between Xmas dinner and Thanksgiving dinner?
- What are traditional desserts? Pumpkin pie?
So you have turkey for Thanksgiving and Xmas but only cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving in the US? Talking of which, must put cranberry sauce in the list. And candy canes, so thanks for that.

Just found out that "creche" is one American English way of saying NATIVITY SCENE. Too late to make it into the PDF version, I'm afraid...
