Unhappy birdie?
My chinese friend tell me when I play badminton with others, I cant call that "ball", instead I should say "birdie" ..... I hope you guys can understand what am I talking about....is it correct?

Yep, the little thing you knock back and forth in badminton is indeed called a "birdie."
