| I am a new member and I have a question for you. I hope you can help me with it. My friends and I have been assigned some investigation related to the way the environment is affected by having a female teacher or a male teacher in the class. Is this true? How can we make the situation better for both teachers and students? Thanks for your time to answer this question. Bye maggielo70 |

| Welcome, Maggie. ![]() That's a tough one. Culture plays a big role; have you asked students what they think/feel? That's where I'd start. All the best, |

But after analysing test results, a team from Durham University found there was no noticeable difference. However, having a female teacher had a positive effect on children's attitude to school, the team found. Read more: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/4230120.stm |

| Aha - While I don't want to offer any support with our young friend's homework There are inherent differences between the two and we can't ignore them. Men have some strengths; women have other strengths. Some people have strengths which are typically identified with the other gender. I think that the web offers lots of ways to compare things... a side-by-side, line-by-line method works best. While I encourage people to stay in THIS forum, I also suggest people take a glance at this wonderful site. I use it with my students regularly: male vs female Comparison - Comparati |
