If you want a discussion, why not start one? ;-) It might become clear from your initial post what your first statement means. For example which of these response would form part of the discussion you want:Quote:

Scientific writing is a huge subject- try narrowing it down to something more specific. It's hard to get a discussion going with such a broad frame of reference. What area of science are you in?

The best way to learn about scientific writing is to read scientific journals. Especially read journals to which you intend submitting.Quote:
