A question about method

Dear fellow members of the forum,

I have fluent english skills, specially when speaking or writing about subjects I know in depth. The problem often arises with everyday vocabulary, house elements or, more importantly, details of these elements (e.g. parts of an oven, components of an audio system or a precise description of clothes).

What woud be a suggested method for training myself on this kind of vocabulary ? Are there online resources or books that can serve me as a guide? I have made some advances by visiting some websites about specific interests where I have increased my vocabulary in these areas. The problem is I can't find good resources on domestic life.

Have you tried the Onelook.com Reverse dictionary- it takes a word or concept and tries to give associated vocb. Here are the results for 'oven':
