    Hi!
    1- Tom are watching Alice in the garden.
    2- In the garden, Tom are watching Alice.

    3- Tom are watching Alice from the garden.
    4- From the garden, Tom are watching Alice.
    Are they different, please?

    In all of them, 'are' should be 'is'.

    in #1, it's possible that Tom is not in the garden; Alice is. In #2, they are both in the garden
    in #3 and #4, Tom is in the garden, but Alice is not.
