They're very nice... did you draw it by yourself?![]()
Hi Lenka
Glad you like the puzzles. I didn't draw them - my teenage students designed and drew them. Talented kids, eh?
Brian
That's really very nice... talented :)
You can delight them and convey a praise greeting from the Czech Republic... I hope you know where it is ;)
Thanks Lenka
I'll pass on your praise. Are you a student in the Czech Republic? Or a teacher?
Brian
I am a student... Actually, I am a teenager too :). I study a grammar school and next year I am going to try to pass entrance exams to be accepted to a university...
Good luck with that. Your English seems very good - can you understand the comics at www.grammarmancomic.com ?
Brian
Thanks!
Well, I can understand them.... They seem good too... I read just the Grammar (The Beginning) and it's a good idea... Funny

Anyway, I must admit I didn't find most of the mistakes... I didn't look for them (I am too lazy), that's the truth, but I wouldn't perhaps find them even after hours of searching. I have problems especially with articles (at least I think that is my biggest problem) and I wouldn't probably realize there should be "THE people of ... city". Now, when I think of it, it is auite clear, but at the moment of not seeing the article...
Who has drawn this comics, this time? (by the way, should I use present perfect? I believe I am not right)
You can use the past simple: "Who drew those comics?" or you can use the present simple, since the comic is still going now: "Who draws those comics?"
And the answer is ... me. I've been drawing them (present perfect continuous!) since last August. For the most recent two episodes, I hired an artist to colour them. I draw the black and white line art, and she uses Photoshop to add colour.
Making one episode of the comic takes me six or seven days. With an artist colouring them, I can have more time free to write new stories and work on the website.
Hey, Lenka, could you do me a favour? Can you pass my website address on to your friends who study English, or to your English teacher?
Thanks!
Brian
I see you'd like to promote the website as much as you can :)
Well, I can pass it to some of my friends... However, I am not sure whether they will ever have a look at it, as noone of them is interested in English that much...
