Hello,
Need some help wiht these phrases which one is correct:
I got around to refurbish my kitchen
I got around to refurbishing my kitchen
I have seen in a lot of sites the gerund form after the phrasel verb "got around to" is it correct?
thanks in advance
Yes, refurbishing is the correct choice. There may be occasions where one would not use the "ing" form in this type of construction, but I can't think of any.
So is it possible that the phrasel verb "got around to" is considered a preposition and thats why the "ing" form proceeds it?
because after "to" its always an infinitive form.
