I have never heard of them, but that doesn't mean anything.

The Welsh people -- who have their own language which is much older than English -- have a saying: "Cenedl heb iaith, cenedl heb galon" translates as: "A nation without language is a nation without heart."

A very nice saying, Rewboss. It’s a pity some nations have nearly lost their hearts – the Belarusians, the Irish, maybe the Welsh, too? Ironically, Belarusian isn’t even spoken in our Parliament.

I haven't heard it before, but I agree with it. What it's saying is that if you want to make progress with learning a language, you have to be prepared to make a lot of mistakes at the beginning.
