If you give enough speeches you will make some mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Ronald Reagan quoted John Adams's "Facts are stubborn things" in speeches several times, but the one time he slipped and rendered it as "Facts are stupid things" his political opponents made much of it. They ignored all the times he had said it correctly.

Nobody is perfect. Who among us has never made any mistakes? I have heard President Bush speak more than once. His command of the English language is just fine.

Agreed, but he does seem to have more then his fair share of gaffes; somewhat similar to our own Prince Philip and his faux pas.

I agree that Mr. Bush is prone to the occasional slip of the tongue or misstatement--something he is well aware of. I believe he has made fun of those tendencies at times.
