Default what's my problem on learning English

Dear all,

I'm glad to join you here to learn and improve my English.

I like English very much and I really need it,but I don't know how to improve it,specially in listening and speaking.I hope you can give me some suggestions after knowing about my status which can be seen as follow.

I'm working for an international company, and my working language is English.I can read and write very well, but Everytime I report to my foreigner boss who comes from Germany,I feel very bad.I can't express myself very well and when he spoke fast,I even didn't understand what he said.

In fact,I learn English very hard.I listen to English materials and practise expressing myself in English(no partner, just me to me) very day.But I can't find my progress.who can tell me why?

My boss said that because my vocabulary is not enough, but I think my problem is I didn't have a real partner to practise. How do you think?

Please give me a hand,I really need your help.

Best wishes

phie

Don't get discouraged. If you do practice daily like you say, you most probably are progressing.

Sometimes I get discouraged when I study Chinese because I feel like I'm not progressing, just like you said. Then, one day, I can completely read a sentence or understand what someone is saying, then I realize I did progress after all!

My point is: progress isn't always apparent. Give it time.

As you say in your fiendishly difficult language my friend:

失败是成功之母。
