Default Please explain....

I would really appreciate any help in clarifying these questions.
1-Essentially nothing more than corbonated, sugar water, coca cola,____________ the World's most popular soda beverage.
A- becomes
B-was become
C-has become
D-will have become.
Answer is C.
I want to know that does this question belongs to inversion? If yes then whats the rule to solve this problem out.

2-The second movement of Beethoven's seventh symphony, [which] seems to potray musically the tragedy of [composer's deafness], is [that] gives the symphony [its] darkly resonent tone.
Answer is C .Whats the rule in solving this question?

3-In the opinion of many , the reduction of American Education to merely teaching the three R's of reading, writing, and arithmatic will have the effect_______________________
A- of dumbing down american culture.
B-on the dumbing of down American culture.
C-in the dumbing down of American culture.
D-Of to the dumbing down of American culture.
Answer is A.

This is not an inversion. The sentence starts with a definition of "coca cola", then states what it has become.

If the question was about which item is incorrect, the third item "that" is incorrect, but so is the second item.
The sentence should be:

The second movement of Beethoven's seventh symphony, which seems to potray musically the tragedy of the composer's deafness, is what gives the symphony its darkly resonant tone.

The second item needs a definitie article, IMO. It is a specific composer.
The third item needs to be "what", which carries the sense of "the thing that". "That" by itself is insufficient.

A is correct. We need to know what kind of effect. The prepositional phrase supplies that information.
