Question Shiver, tremble, shake, quiver, shudder and quake

Hi everyone!

Please, what's the difference between these words? I guess that you shiver with cold rather than fear, but I don't know the characteristics of the rest of them at all.

Thanks!!!

It`s rather difficult to describe each word .All you have to do, is look up for them and , moreover, study them in contexts.
Here is a helpful link:

Just an example of common usage of the words.
  1. I shivered in intense cold.
  2. I trembled with fear.
  3. I shook him up from his slumber.
  4. I shudder to think what can happen if this web site was no longer there.
  5. The intensity of the quake was moderate.
  6. A quiver ran through the people when the elephant ran amok.
I guess the words may not be interchangeable in the above sentences.
