Hello everyone,
This is my first post on ESL. :)
I need help on these sentence. I am not sure if this is right or how to say this right.
the question i was trying to answer is this:
"Any updates on the nameserver change?"
I need to formally answer this.. here's my reply "
"I got a word from Ms. White to wait for Mr. Rafael to approve the design before we do migration."
Is there a better way to say this? any help is greatly appreciated. thank you
olocin
If Rafael is a last name and not a first name, I would say something like this:
Ms. White asked me to wait for Mr. Rafael to approve the design before we do the migration.
If Rafael is a first name, drop the Mr.
I normally only use "got a word from" in casual speech and not in formal writing.
You made a very good attempt! And welcome to this forum. Here is my attempt.I hope you like it.
"Ms. White asked me to wait until Mr. Rafael approves the design before we do migration."
