Default New "Vocabulary Forum" at Word Surfing

Hallo Red, Ron, TDOL and everyone at Using English,

I hope that the new "Word Sufing" Vocabulary Forum will be of interest to you and your colleagues/students. This project is "for learners by learners" - and has only just started (26.07.04) at

    http://www.wordsurfing.co.uk/136345/index.html

Learners who make a contribution should get some good practice – and
also help to teach other language learners something at the same
    time.

One of the aims of the forum is to encourage students to learn more
actively – and their suggestions should ideally be checked by a
teacher before sending them. In any case, their contributions will be
checked there by either myself or another teacher. Suitable
suggestions , with alterations/correction if necessary, will then be
transferred into a Vocabulary Builder at
    http://www.wordsurfing.co.uk/136245/index.html

Hopefully this will soon become a useful resource that is full of
good ideas – and grammatically correct example sentences - from
    learners all around the world.

If you like the project – please encourage learners to send in their
suggestions … and tell other teachers about it too.

The other thing is that I'd like to include "USING ENGLISH" at "SITES OF SPECIAL INTEREST" at http://www.wordsurfing.co.uk/128647/index.html - and was wondering if you'd like to suggest any particular text for the review page? I hope so!

Bye for now, thanks & best wishes from Budapest.

    Will :)

Hi, Will- I'dd add the forum to our links. How about this text:
http://www.usingenglish.com - Resources for learning the English language for ESL, EFL, ESOL, and EAP students and teachers. This site includes: glossary of terms, forums, free language software, and articles.

    Default Thanks

    Hi TDOL

Thanks very much for the link and suggested "Using English" text. I'll add quite a bit more about your resources - and send you a link to your WS page once it has been done. ( It could be a few days yet though!!).

    Best wishes from Budapest :)
