i really need to learn some American sang phrases please. I really don't want to talk formally.
Is there anybody who could help in that? *puppy eyes*

"puppy eyes" needs context, but it probably means someone is looking at you with their eyes wide open.

Be careful about where and how you use slang - it is only too easy to cause offence when misused! :roll:

My husband always gives me puppy eyes when he wants me to do a favor for him. That is, he opens his eyes very widely, then sort of lowers his head and looks upward. A very endearing gesture that I can't resist. ;-)

I'm not a teacher but it happened to me to have an "audio book" called Street Talk. It's basically a recording of dialogues with american slangs and idioms.

First they talk using the standard English and right after they show you a recording using slangs.

Personally I'm not very interested in American slangs but I have to say that this audiobook was very pleasant to listen to and a not painful way of learning informal English. Plus you can learn English intonation and pronunciation because this audiobook is not monotone like most audio materials.
