some => somewhat ?

5. It is a real pleasure to have met you and he during your visit to this city.
he => him ?

6. To many man has come the realization that he lives not by bread alone, but also by the good will of his fellow man.
many man => many a man ?

7. As fond as I am of painting, I am so conscious of my ignorance in that art.
so => very ?

8. If there were nothing unusual to look forward to, one wouldn't want to get up in the morning, would they ?
they => he ?

9. It was barely midnight when I arrived home; but I found them both setting at the table, waiting for me.

10. I wish that he wasn't so lazy; he would find learning a language easier and more fun.

Hope all are correct :)

Thanks in advance

2- whoever sounds better to me, but I'm not too sure about 'contrary to'.
8- would one?

Can I argue that ' would he ' means ' would one ' ? But somehow it should be ' would he ' :P considering ' one ' is used in front.

I think they wouldn't match. Because we say 'one wouldn't', then useit in the tag.

"They" is used in tags questions to cover both "he" and "she".

I would happily use 'they', but if you use 'one', stick with it.

I agree, unless ' no one ' is used instead of ' one '

eg. No one would want ...... , wouldn't they :)

After 'no one', I would use 'they', but some would use 'he' or 'he or she'.
