I bought a Mercedes recently with the talking GPS. "Up ahead, take a right." I opened the door and the car went, "Are you Jewish?" It MAY be referring to a political term used in the US- right wing or left wing. But it still does not fit quite right. What are the next lines in the movie? The clue may be there.

Well, next was just another joke which had nothing to do with the previous one. The film is about politics, maybe it's just like what you said, right-wing. left-wing. The extreme right-wing may be associated with Fascism and Nazism. So the car asked him if he were jewish.

I believe he was just implying that technology was getting too personal and was prying into our personal lives. After the "Are you Jewish?" comment he went on to warn us that "soon all your appliances will be talking about you."
