The member Jugalug in that forum says he enjoys the joke, but I dont get it at all. Why is it funny? Any one can explain the joke?

I wouldn't get too worried, it's a terrible joke. The sort of joke where everyone would groan rather than laugh. It's just a play on the word "clock." "To clock" something is "to realise" it. But the person is playing with this meaning (using quotation marks), because the subject that is being realised is the time on the clock.

Thanks. That much more sensible. What about this, 'I vote we up the dose to 4x750mg tablets per day, what do you think?' They enjoy this too, but I dont get it again. Is it a joke or just the same trick like 'clock'? You Brits sometimes really confuse me - I can never tell wheter it is a joke or sarcasm.
